Although it was geographically quite close it took 1.5 hours to drive around the coast and into Wasdale
The drive over was mostly A roads albeit undulating and twisting through and around the foothills. I was shocked/surprised to see innumerable wind turbines out to sea (I think circa 150)
Wast Water and Wasdale were looking magnificent in the angled sun, highlighting the terrain and contours beautifully
We walked south along the lake then looped up and around for a very gentle but satisfying 5 miles through farmland and woods before (another) tea and warm scone at The sawmill in Nether Wasdale
