We spent a very relaxed and enjoyable day in Hereford. Went through the town then to the Cathedral and cloisters for lunch Saw the Mappa Mundi (from around 1300) and the chained library Rather reminiscent of Chichester and I could imagine living here, had most amenities but small enough to “know”. Worth visiting
Just a 2 night mini break in Herefordshire at a farm site. Electrical hookup and a basic toilet but all you need. Met office warning for thunder/lightning but although thunder rumbling around the hills nothing here so far. No real plans except to chill and maybe a walk or two…

Cavello Nero in full action. About 8 plants down producing plentiful supplies of lush dark green leaves. (Iron supplies sorted!). Grown under frames/netting seems to be working well keeping circling cabbage whites at bay!! Destined for Ottolenghi’s Cavello Nero with Chorizo and preserved Lemons (sadly not home grown)
