A meander home

First stop – Ledbury. Lovely old town with historic elements and plenty of independent shops… trying the organic raspberry and almond cake

Stop two – Westbury Water Garden

Although parking is pretty poor (ended up on main road) the Water Garden itself was lovely. Three straight “canals” amid topiary and veg plots with a stream around the perimeter ( doesn’t do it justice!). Small but worth a local excursion

Stop three – unplanned – Severn and Wye Smokery. Just a quick snack but looks lovely for a return full meal!!!

Stop four – Stroud. Home of Yings GP experience all those years ago, and never again. Beautiful landscape with hills all around but seemed somehow depleted in affluence, covid?

Stop five – Cirencester or more accurately home of old friends James and Dawn…. Lovely to meet them in their garden and catch-up. Mustn’t leave it so long next time…
