Dumfries to Inverness, dinner with Thomas

The journey took about 4.5hrs though with stops etc more like 6.5… However was uneventful and despite drizzle and then low cloud the A9 and surroundings looked impressive, until we reached Colloden Moor and the campsite

Typical Scottish flora

We collected Thomas from the hospital accommodation largely unchanged since we used it (elsewhere obviously)…

Thomas guided us through the main arterial routes into Inverness and along the banks of the River Ness to park then we walked back via the islands…

After touring the Inverness highlights (a continental feel by the river) and the full list of where Thomas had eaten, drunk, sung and danced, we got to cafe1 and were treated to various starters ( tempura prawns, scallops, and pork, yum) we all went for lamb, then deviated again for puds (crepe, cranachan cheesecake, and cheeses) all whilst happily catching up and swapping stories. Altogether a good evening
