RHS Bridgewater

After a good first night, we had a lazy start (eggs on toast and coffee) and then we set off to the new RHS Bridgewater site to meet Lizzie and Mick. Apparently yesterday was very busy but it was fine today and although initially overcast gradually it warmed up and was full sunshine by afternoon. Lunch was homemade sandwiches, and a bite of Lizzie’s Cheesy Oatmeal slab (recipe please). Afternoon cream tea seemed inevitable

For what was essentially the first year open the height of plants was amazing and well worth a revisit in spring/summer to get a different view of things. I wonder how it’d be in a few years time when longer term plans came to fruition.

A treat to visit and fantastic to share with Liz and Mick

Back to Burr Park and Ragu and pasta followed by strawberries.

Mick would just like to point out we were in front of banana trees, in the sunshine, in Salford!
